After 30 years with the Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce (EMACC),  Lynda Rose, President and Chief Operating Officer has announced her plans to retire late this spring.

Lynda began working for the chamber in 1987 as an administrative assistant with the Red Bank Retail Trade Board.   She was then promoted to Membership Chair, followed by Event Coordinator, Program Director and Vice-President and has been serving as the President/COO since 1997.

Some of Lynda’s key accomplishments include the evolution of Riverfest Food and Music Festival in Marine Park, Red Bank, into New Jersey’s largest free outdoor festival;  BizExpo, a trade show for chamber members and local businesses which is soon to celebrate its 25th year; the Spinnaker Awards Dinner, recognizing businesses and individuals who make a positive difference in our communities, also in its 25th year, and the expansion of the EMACC membership base and prominence of the organization as the “first and foremost Chamber of Commerce in Monmouth County.”

Bob Baerenbach, Chairman of EMACC said in a statement “Lynda’s commitment, passion and contributions to EMACC are legendary.  We were fortunate that she has stayed with EMACC through thick and thin and wish her nothing but the best in her retirement.”

Upon her retirement, Lynda said “I have very mixed emotions at this time.  This has been a dream job and although I’m anxious to see what the next phase of my life will bring, I’m already feeling nostalgic about all the wonderful relationships and experiences I’ve enjoyed along the way.  Many EMACC members have become valuable, life-long friends…one of the greatest benefits of working for EMACC.”

Lynda’s replacement will be the subject of a future announcement.

Founded in 1929, the Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce serves the interests of member businesses through skills building seminars, legislative advocacy, marketing support and referral services.  The Chamber provides the resources and creates initiatives, programs, products and events to assist businesses toward becoming prosperous and contributing members of the community.
